In 1897, ownership applied for a charter grant that would turn the park into a resort. This was the beginning of Mountain Park as an amusement park. The park began to grow and add more attractions, like a merry go round and dance hall. Mountain Park was sold to new ownership in 1929, and the new owners immediately added a new roller coaster as well as other
