A seam curves across the toe like an apron, giving the front of the shoe a defined, tailored shape where a classic espadrille is a plain slipper and the vamp rises a little higher over the foot, so it holds like a loafer holds. At the back, a small grosgrain tab in navy and red is the only colour on the whole shoe, and it's the detail that makes them: a nautical flash, deliberately
