It's a type 2 gold one dollar coin minted in the mid 19th Century (this style was only minted between 1854 and 1856)

The classic scene is very detailed, more so than most, and even features a monastery on the far riverbank. It's very much in the early 20th Century Art Nouveau style, but I suspect it's actually a vintage piece from the 1970s or 1980s.
